Chris Conn was born and raised in Elizabeth, Colorado, a small town just outside of Denver. From a very early age, he was performing in school plays, writing silly short stories, and illustrating comic strips for the school paper. He acted in several Jr. High and High School plays. In college, Chris pursued drama, improvisational comedy and college radio. He was educated at Mesa State College in Grand Junction and won a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2001. He also spent time at the Colorado Institute of Art, focusing on audio/ video production.
After college, Chris worked around Denver as a Club DJ before landing his first paid radio job at KKFM in Colorado Springs in 1992. A year later, he was picked up by KAZY, then KBPI. The competition was very stiff and fast paced at KBPI, the #1 Rock station in Denver. You had to be bigger, better and much more creative than the next jock. After spending 1 year there and learning all he could, it was time to move on.
In January of 1995, John Hendricks, the Operations Manager of Jones Radio Networks, noticed Chris's fantastic reputation of creative radio. Chris was hand picked to fill the evening slot on the National Network and the success of the show quickly became a ratings phenomenon. In October of 1999, Chris was asked to join Great American Country (GAC), as the networks first video host. Every weekend, he would host a show called "Fast Forward". In 2003, Chris was offered an opportunity to host his very own late night, talk show called, "Hot Country Nights with the Conman".
Chris spends many weekends traveling across the nation, making live appearances, hosting televised concerts and talking to as many listeners and viewers as possible. He focuses on the experience to make himself the best overall entertainer he can be! In November of 2004, GAC was sold to the Scripps/Howard Networks and the company was re-located to Nashville. Chris parted ways with GAC and was free to peruse other Television opportunities. To this day, he continues to host his National Radio Show.
In late 2004, Chris decided to start Conman Productions, LLC. It was time to start producing the programs that he was hosting. After spending 6 years hosting and creating programming for GAC, Chris Conn decided to venture off and create programming for Conman Productions, LLC. His first venture was a Country Music talk show called, Country Connection with Chris Conn. The pilot was shot in Branson, Missouri in 2005 and failed to be picked up by a Television Network.
In October of 2005, Chris started work on his next Television project, ROADIE. This program is a documentary series that chronicles the lives of Independent recording artists, trying to make it in the music business. ROADIE is currently in production and will soon be seen on a major cable network.
